STAFF BANK

at Northumbria

Temporary staffing at Northumbria

This is a great opportunity to work in a flexible way with one of the country’s top performing trusts, twice rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission.

Northumbria Healthcare covers a large geographical area, providing safe and high-quality care in both hospital and community settings. As such we need to be able to respond quickly to meet demands caused by an increase in patient activity, staff holidays or illness.

This is where our staff bank plays a vital role, providing service support 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.

The bank is not just for doctors and nurses, we cater for all staff groups including AHPS, nursing support roles, administrative staff, facilities staff and more.

There are many reasons why people join the staff bank, some to supplement earnings, or to work around commitments such as childcare or studying, while others may wish to develop their skills and work experience.

So, if having the flexibility to pick and choose your hours is important, then this may be your opportunity.

Next steps

If you would like to work with a diverse, inclusive organisation where your voice matters, and your contribution is valued, then we want to hear from you!

If you are an existing employee of the Trust, you can join the bank by submitting an internal staff bank form, signed off by your line manager.

If you are not an employee of the Trust, you can apply to join the bank via NHS Jobs.

All bank jobs are advertised via the NHS Jobs website, so please keep checking it and apply online. All vacancies will have job descriptions attached that outline the duties of the bank role you are applying for, whether admin, portering or nursing.

Your application will be assessed for shortlisting and your skills and experience matched against the job description and person specification. If shortlisted, you will be invited for an interview, to discuss skills, competences, the potential area of work and hours.

We welcome all to the bank and are especially interested in hearing from registered nurses and nursing assistants who would like to work weekends, evenings, and night shifts.
